Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
Everything you'd expect from a 4-star European hotel like: satellite TV, Radio, Mini bar, Safety deposit box, Air conditioning (in summer) and heating with independent thermostat (in winter), Telephone, Bathtub/ Shower, Hair dryer etc. Non-smokers (like myself) are automatically given rooms on the 3rd floor - the non-smoking floor. When checking-in, ALWAYS remember to ask the Reception to give you a nice room with a view. If you're looking for a fitness center to do your work-outs even when you're on holiday, fear not! The nearest fitness center is just 500 meters away from the hotel. Looking for a swimming pool? Again, not to worry.... You have access to the pool, a sauna, and a massage center located 1 km away.

A lovely old building, full of antique furniture, and squeaky floorboards! Very well located - only a few minutes walk from the Rialto bridge. 76 rooms, so a good size, without being impersonal.
Friendly staff, billiard table, and free internet access, which was useful for keeping in touch with home, and checking on the weather! Rooms included an umbrella, which was a helpful touch. Leave a Comment

 | | | | Hotel Giorgione: Giorgione was a great place to lay our heads

Beautiful. It was absolutely beautiful. In particular, I remember the aqua blue blown glass in the chandelier and the aqua blue furniture. It was really unique, in a good way. The breakfast area by the pool was lovely, but the birds thought so too and wouldn't leave us alone. Of all the hotel breakfasts in Italy, this was my least favorite. But I liked all the food in Florence, Rome, and Positano better than that in Venice.
Every place in Venice is expensive, but since this place was a bit removed from St. Mark's Square, it was much more reasonable than many other hotels. It was actually nice to be removed from the main tourist area. There were some great restaurants nearby, recommended from our tour guide and our hotel, that were more "local" places than tourist places.
