 | Dublin To and From Dublin Airport Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 29 | | Aircoach bus stops are right outside the arrival exit. They have several destinations, i.e., Cork, Belfast and Portaoise, so ask the ticketing staff where the Dublin City Centre bus stop is. The bus leaves every 10-20 min. The ticket is 7euro one way, and 12 euro return. You can buy a ticket at the stops or online. The bus to Dublin City Centre makes several stops including O'Connell St., near the Trinity College, and near the St. Stephen Green. Check online for route information to see which stop is close to your destination/hotel. You can get on the bus to the airport in front of the Dublin Tourism Office on Suffolk St. Leave a Comment

The Airlink buses stop right outside the airport and cost just 5E to the city centre - buy the ticket at the machine by the bus stop and validate it on the bus. The 748 terminates at Heuston Station. Leave a Comment

To get to and from Dublin Airport into the city I always take the bus. From outside the 'Arrivals' terminal you can take bus 747 or 748 into the city. It takes about half an hour to get to O'Connell Street from the airport and then another 5 minutes to get to the Central Bus Station. Make sure you have correct fare on you (or have already bought your ticket from a machine near the exit of the Arrivals hall) to make boarding the bus easier, as there will usually be a crowd of people all trying to get on the bus. Tickets: Adult: EUR 5 Child: EUR 2 The website below has the timetable for route 747. Leave a Comment

To and from the airport it is very convenient to use AirLink buses. When you go out of the arrival hall take the left exit and you will see the green double decker just outside. It takes about 30 - 35 minutes to the central bus station of Dublin, Busaras, which is the end stop. From the same spot you can take the bus back to the airport. The ticket is 6 Euro (February/March 2007). Leave a Comment

Getting to and from Dublin Airport must be unique in Europe. There's an "Aircoach" that is excellent. It serves South Dublin much better than North Dublin. Timetable and drop off / pick points can be see at http://www.aircoach.ie/ There's an "Airlink", run by Dublin Bus that's very limited. Hardly surprising! Serves the Bus Station ( for buses throughout Ireland) and some of the rail stations ( for trains throughout Ireland). Not much use if your plans were to visit Dublin. The Bus Station is not in the most pleasant part of the City and the Rail Stations were built in the 19th Century, more with military / strategic objectives than convenience for a travelling populace and are for from central Dublin Now here's a paradox. You can also get a taxi. There always seems to be plenty of taxis at Dublin Airport and its reasonably quick however it is quite expensive. Allow 25 to 30 Euro for you journey to the north City or City centre and possibly 30 to 40 Euro to the south City. Getting back to Dublin Airport is very difficult. If you are convenient to a pick up point for the Aircoach, you can hardly do better. Otherwise a taxi is probably the best, however if you try to book a taxi, early in the morning or during rush hour you might find a very negative attitude. Just keep phoning different "taxi companies" in the hope you will get a booking. You probably will, eventually. If you're staying in a good hotel, they will probably have a taxi company they can call on with reliability, so ask the hotel to book one. Leave a Comment

Dublin Airport is about 7 miles or 10k north of the city. Dublin bus runs a special Airlink bus into the city centre every 10 minutes during the week and every 20 minutes during weekends. The cost is €6.50 each way. The bus departs outside the arrivals hall. Go to the information desk before you leave the airport terminal. The Airlink also stops in Busaras which is the main terminal for provincial buses. Connelly station is near Busaras as is the DART Dublin Area Rapid Transport. The Airlink will also drop you off at Heuston Station the mainline rail station which serves the south and west. You can also catch a normal double decker bus number 41 from outside the arrivals hall. The cost is around €2.20 and will drop you in the city centre. It takes a bit longer but if your on a budget take this option. You can also catch a cab again outside the arrivals hall. The cost is high and they charge you for almost everything, from your bags, to the time of day. No set charge like New York.. Please be careful l have heard many sad stories of taxi men ripping off tourists.. take the bus instead. If don't have a rail system that takes you to the airport.. not yet... Try this website also for taxi fares .http://www.dub.aero/AR_Dublin/Live/Lv_pres_GenTemplate.asp?strPage_Name=DN_Ground_Taxi Leave a Comment Theme: BusPhone: 01-8734222Website: www.dublinbus.com Other Contact: Open 9am to 7pm Mon-Sat

Bus 41 (but not 41 a, b , or X) and 16 All serve the aiport and go into town. They are all slower that the other options but not by much. You will however need to have your Euro change ready as it is curently 2.00 Euro each way and the bus takes the exact fare only (or more with no change) Buses stop in Lower Abbey street (just off O' Connell street) and in Lower Gardiner Street (very handy for the hostels) - all very central. The 41 runs on about a 20 minute frequency. Considering it is only about 2 minutes walk from where the 'official' airport bus leaves outside Busaras (long distance bus station) it surprises me that more people don't use it. The 747 airport bus (746 geddit ?) currently costs 6 euro each way. Leave a Comment

When I walked out from the baggage claim area at Dublin's airport, I hopped on this bus, called the AirLink. It was 5 euros and it dropped me off at the Central Bus Station (Busaras), which was a half a block from my hostel. There's a machine from which you can purchase a ticket, but you don't have to. The bus leaves every 10 minutes and you can just pay the driver if you have the right change. AirLink is operated by Dublin Bus. Leave a Comment

Airlink is the bus service offered by DublinBus to and from the Airport. It cost €6 one way or €10 round trip and is also included in the Rambler tickets. There are other Dublin Buses that provide service to and from the Airport (such as the 16) but Airlink 747 is non-stop between the Airport and O'Connell St. and then to Connelly Station. Going to the Airport it also stops at Parnell Sq. West. The Airlink bus 748 makes a few more stops but all in it is a quick convienent way to get from the airport to Dublin's center. Leave a Comment
