Antipasti misti is the only thing that made the restaurant famous. The bigger your group, the more food comes out of the kitchen. It's a seemingly endless array of dishes, all antipasti: melanzane, mozzarella di bufala, prosciutto and melon, carciofi, finocchio, fagiolini, spinaci, etc. The quantity is overwhelming, but the quality is not high. Some dishes are tasty, while others are bland; the only thing they have in common is the low calorie content. You don't feel heavy after the buffet, but you also don't feel as if you have eaten a good meal either. It is an acceptable place for dinner if your group does not have a specific idea of what to eat. It is a fun thing to try, but not a meal to repeat.
I have always thought that it is not a good thing to cook food in bulk daily. After having been to L'Orso, now I am more certain of that.
The housewine is a very good bianco Agrospino. Red is from the wine list only.
